Patrick McFadden "Patrick" Killen makes things happen. From his first day of law practice in August of 1998, he has worked in this firm. He earned the trust and partnership in 2002, by the dint of his legal excellence and the delivery of it to our clients. Patrick has always focused his efforts on civil and criminal litigation, and has gained experience in many substantive areas of the law. He is decisive and moves quickly to the heart of the legal matters he pursues.

Patrick was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina. After graduating from T.L. Hanna High School, he enlisted in the United Air Force where he served in military police squadrons at two stateside (Whiteman AFB, Missouri & Bergstrom AFB, Texas) Air Force bases and one overseas (Osan AB, Republic of Korea) Air Force installation. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1991.

After his time in the service, Patrick attended college on the G.I. Bill. He graduated from Clemson University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in history. He earned Dean's List several times as an undergraduate student.

Patrick attended law school at the University of South Carolina. As a law student, Patrick served as a law clerk for the Office of General Counsel, South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1998 from U.S.C. where he also earned Dean's List honors.

Patrick is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He was recently re-appointed as a Law Library Commissioner by the Sumter County Council and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Sumter County Bar Association as Immediate- past Secretary / Treasurer. In addition to the State of South Carolina, he is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court, District of South Carolina and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Patrick is married and has three children. While not practicing law, he enjoys following sports and spends his time with his family. They are members of Alice Drive Baptist Church in Sumter where Patrick currently serves as an oversight committee member.

It takes more than legal expertise to be a great advocate for a client. A great lawyer can consistently bring force to bear on the problems of his client at just the right time.
